Born on October 13, 1938, Caesar began her career at the age of 12 when she signed with Federal Records in 1951. With a career spanning over seven decades, she is often recognized as the 'First Lady of Gospel Music' and 'The Queen of Gospel Music'. Caesar has received numerous accolades, including eleven Grammy Awards, fifteen Dove Awards, and fourteen Stellar Awards. She has released over forty albums and has participated in various compilations and gospel musicals. Caesar has made notable appearances on Live from Disney World Night of Joy, the Gospel According to VH1, and even performed at the White House for President George Bush. In 2017, she was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
