Son Sook

Son Sook is a South Korean actress and former politician. Born on May 13, 1944, in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, she began her acting career in the late 1960s. Son Sook was a founding member of the theater group Sanwoollim and joined the National Theater in 1971. Over the years, she has worked with renowned directors and received critical acclaim for her performances. In 1989, she started hosting radio broadcasts and continued for over 20 years. Son Sook also had a notable political career, serving as the Minister of Environment and co-representative of various social organizations. She has been recognized for her talent and received the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Theater Actress multiple times.
