Sonia Rodriguez

Sonia Rodriguez (born December 19, 1972) is a Canadian ballet dancer. She began her career in 1990 when she joined the National Ballet of Canada and later became a principal dancer in 2000. Rodriguez was born in Toronto and moved to Madrid, Spain at the age of five. She received her dance training from Pedro de la Cruz and also studied at the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco. Throughout her career, she has performed numerous roles including Cinderella and Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. In 2019, Rodriguez celebrated her 30th anniversary with the National Ballet after a performance of Giselle.
