Stan Verrett
Stan Verrett is an American sportscaster known for his work on the ESPN and ESPNEWS networks. Born in 1967, he is best recognized as a frequent appearance on SportsCenter, particularly at the 11 p.m. or 1 a.m. Eastern time slots from Monday to Friday. Verrett has also hosted studio segments for ESPN's college basketball and college football telecasts, and he has contributed as a sideline reporter for ArenaBowl XXII. Before his career at ESPN, Verrett attended St. Augustine High School in New Orleans and Howard University in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity and has previous experience as a radio DJ on WOWI 103 Jamz and as a sports anchor on WVEC-TV 13 and WAVY-TV 10 in the Hampton Roads, VA area. In April 2009, Verrett relocated to ESPN's L.A. Live studios to host the 10:00 p.m. PST SportsCenter alongside Neil Everett. Additionally, Verrett became the studio host for ESPN's college football coverage on ABC in August 2016, succeeding the late John Saunders.
