Star Parker Biography
Star Parker (born October 23, 1955) is an American syndicated columnist, Republican candidate, author, TV host, and conservative political activist. She is best known as the founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE), which she established in 1995. Born in Seattle, Washington, Parker was raised in a non-religious home with often-absent parents. After experiencing an arrest for shoplifting during high school, she began advocating for conservative social and political causes. Parker's dedication to her work led her to devote her efforts full-time to CURE after being laid off from her job as a program host on Los Angeles radio station KABC. She has also run as a Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives in California's 37th District in 2010.
