Steve Cash

Stephen Douglas Cash (May 5, 1946 – October 13, 2019) was an American musician and author. He was best known as a founding member of the rock band The Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Born in Springfield, Missouri, Cash attended the University of Missouri and was a member of the Zeta Phi chapter of Beta Theta Pi. With the exception of a brief period in the early 1980s, he remained an active member of the band for over forty years. In addition to his musical career, Cash also became a published author, known for his Meq trilogy. Steve Cash passed away on October 13, 2019.
