Steve Heinze
Stephen Herbert Heinze, born on January 30, 1970, is an American former National Hockey League (NHL) right winger. He played for various teams including the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Buffalo Sabres, and Los Angeles Kings from 1992 to 2003. Heinze was selected by the Boston Bruins as the 60th overall pick in the third round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He represented the American national team at the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 2000 World Championships. Heinze, originally from Lawrence, Massachusetts, grew up in North Andover. Prior to his professional career, he played three seasons for Boston College, earning multiple honors and induction into the Boston College Hall of Fame in 2010.
