Steve O'Neill
Steve O'Neill (July 6, 1891 – January 26, 1962) was an American professional baseball catcher and manager. He played for the Cleveland Indians for 13 seasons and later managed the Detroit Tigers, leading them to a World Series championship. O'Neill was born in Minooka, Pennsylvania to Irish immigrants. He had three brothers who also played major league baseball: Jack, Mike, and Jim. Jack and Mike became the first brother battery in major league history. O'Neill's career in baseball allowed him and his brothers to escape a life in the coal mines. He is remembered as a skilled catcher and successful manager in the MLB.
