Steve Richmond Biography
Steve Richmond, born on December 11, 1959, is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played 159 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, and Los Angeles Kings between 1984 and 1989. Richmond began his hockey career in Chicago, playing for Evanston High School and then two years of Junior hockey in Pickering, Ontario. He went on to play for the University of Michigan, where he still holds the record for most goals by a defenseman with 40. In addition to his NHL career, Richmond was a member of the Tulsa Oilers in the Central Hockey League. Currently, he serves as the director of player development.
