    Steve Rizzo is an American motivational speaker, author, and former stand-up comedian known for his humorous style of motivational speaking and writing. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and an inductee of the Council of Peers Award for Excellence (CPAE) Speaker Hall of Fame. Rizzo's book, Becoming a Humor Being: The Power to Choose a Better Way, was the winner of the Writer's Digest International Self-Published Book Awards. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Rizzo overcame a guidance counselor's doubts about his intelligence to earn a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education (with Honors) and a Master of Arts in Theater Arts from Long Island University C. W. Post Campus. Before his motivational career, Rizzo worked as an English teacher and counselor for students with behavioral problems.
