    Steven Connor Biography
    Steven Kevin Connor (born February 11, 1955) is a British literary scholar and professor. He currently holds the position of Grace 2 Professor of English at the University of Cambridge, where he has been since 2012. He is also a Fellow of Peterhouse, Cambridge. Previously, he served as the academic director of the London Consortium and held the position of professor of modern literature and theory at Birkbeck, University of London. Connor was born in Chichester or Bognor Regis, Sussex, England, and attended Christ's Hospital and Bognor Regis School for his education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wadham College, Oxford, and later completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree in English at Oxford as well.
