Steven Hill Biography
Steven Hill (born Solomon Krakovsky) was an American actor known for his roles on Law & Order and Mission: Impossible. He received two Emmy nominations for his role as district attorney Adam Schiff on Law & Order. Hill also appeared in films such as The Goddess, A Child Is Waiting, Yentl, and The Firm. Born to Russian Jewish immigrants in Seattle, Washington, he decided to pursue acting at a young age. After graduating from Garfield High School, Hill attended the University of Washington before serving in the United States Naval Reserve during World War II. He later studied at the Actors Studio in New York City.
