Steven Kahn
Steven Michael Kahn (born 1954) is an American physicist and academic. He currently holds the position of Cassius Lamb Kirk Professor at Stanford University and previously served as the I. I. Rabi Professor of Physics at Columbia University. Kahn is recognized for his contributions to the field of physics, particularly in astrophysics and cosmology. He graduated summa cum laude from Columbia College in 1975 and obtained his PhD in physics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980. From 1980 to 1982, he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian. Kahn is an Elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Physical Society. In recognition of his achievements, an asteroid discovered in 2001 was named after him, known as Asteroid 179413 Stevekahn.
