    Steven Charles Pimlott (18 April 1953 – 14 February 2007) was an English opera and theatre director known for his versatility and inventiveness. He directed a wide range of productions, including musicals like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, popular plays like Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, classics by Shakespeare and Molière, and modern works like Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Sunday in the Park with George and Alexander Borodin's Prince Igor. Pimlott's passion for the performing arts started at a young age. He was educated at Manchester Grammar School, where he developed a lasting friendship with Nicholas Hytner.
