Stewart Alexander

Stewart Alexander (born October 1, 1951) is an American democratic socialist politician. He was the presidential nominee for the Socialist Party USA in the 2012 election and the former SPUSA nominee for Vice President in the 2008 election. Alexander also ran as the Peace and Freedom Party candidate for lieutenant governor of California in 2006. Born to a brick mason and minister father and a nurse and housewife mother in Newport News, Virginia, Alexander has been an active candidate for various political offices, including President of the United States, with the Socialist Party, Green Party, and Peace and Freedom Party.
