Susie Porter Biography
Susie Porter (born 1970 or 1971) is an Australian television, film, and theatre actress. She gained recognition in the industry with her role in the 1996 film Idiot Box and went on to star in notable movies such as Paradise Road (1997), Welcome to Woop Woop (1997), Two Hands (1999), Better Than Sex (2000), The Monkey's Mask (2000), Mullet (2001), Teesh and Trude (2002), and The Caterpillar Wish (2006). Porter's television career is equally impressive, with prominent roles in East West 101 as Patricia Wright, East of Everything as Eve Pritchard, Sisters of War as Kay Parker, and Wentworth as Marie Winter. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Porter attended Newcastle Grammar School and pursued a bachelor of arts from the University of Newcastle. She later graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1995.
