Sydney Bennett
Sydney John Bennett (7 February 1905 – 15 August 1969) was an English cricketer. He was born at Hackleton, Northamptonshire. Bennett played as a right-handed batsman and right-arm slow bowler. He made three first-class appearances for Northamptonshire, two in the 1933 County Championship and one in the 1934 County Championship. In his three matches, he scored 37 runs at an average of 7.40, with a high score of 19 not out. He also took 2 wickets at a bowling average of 53.50. Bennett passed away on 15 August 1969 in Margate, Kent.
