    Terence Graham Parry Jones (1 February 1942 – 21 January 2020) was a Welsh actor, comedian, director, historian, and writer. He was best known as a member of the Monty Python comedy troupe. After graduating from Oxford University, Jones collaborated with writing partner Michael Palin on various British comedy programs, including Do Not Adjust Your Set and The Frost Report. Together with Chapman, Cleese, Idle, and Gilliam, they created Monty Python's Flying Circus, a groundbreaking comedy show known for its surreal structure. Jones directed several Monty Python films, including Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. He also co-created and co-wrote the anthology series Ripping Yarns. Jones made significant contributions to comedy and entertainment throughout his career.
