Tim Holt, born Charles John Holt III on February 5, 1919, in Beverly Hills, California, was an American actor known for his roles in Western films during the 1940s and early 1950s. He appeared in forty-six B westerns released by RKO Pictures. Holt's most notable roles came in the films The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). He was the son of actor Jack Holt and Margaret Woods and began his career by accompanying his father on location and even appearing in a silent film. Holt received his education at Culver Military Academy, graduating in 1936. Throughout his four-decade-long career, he left a lasting impact on the film industry.
