Tim Lewis Biography
Tim Lewis (born December 18, 1961) is an American football coach and former player. He currently serves as the defensive coordinator for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. Lewis played college football for the University of Pittsburgh and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft. His playing career ended prematurely due to a neck injury after four seasons. Since then, Lewis has held coaching positions at both collegiate and professional levels. In 2019, he became the head coach of the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football (AAF). Additionally, he served as the defensive backs coach for the St. Louis BattleHawks of the XFL until the league folded in 2020. Lewis is the younger brother of former Memphis Express General Manager Will Lewis and cousin of NFL safety and ESPN broadcaster Louis Riddick. Another cousin, Robb Riddick, played as a running back for the Buffalo Bills for eight seasons.
