Tina Smith

Christine Elizabeth Smith, known as Tina Smith, is an American politician and former businesswoman. Born on March 4, 1958, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Smith currently serves as the junior United States senator from Minnesota since 2018. She is a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, affiliated with the Democratic Party. Smith began her career working for General Mills before becoming the vice president of Planned Parenthood of Minnesota. She later transitioned into politics, working as a political consultant and organizer for Democratic candidates. Smith has also served as chief of staff to Mayor of Minneapolis R. T. Rybak and played a role in managing various political campaigns.
