Toby Sedgwick Biography
Toby Sedgwick is a British movement director, actor, and theatre choreographer known for his work in the critically acclaimed play, War Horse. Born on August 16, 1958, in England, Sedgwick attended Bryanston School in Dorset and trained at the Arts Educational drama course. He further honed his skills by studying for two years at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, where he co-founded 'The Moving Picture Mime Show'. Sedgwick gained recognition for his expressive 'horse choreography' in War Horse, which earned him a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Theatre Choreographer in 2008 and a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Choreography in a Play or Musical in 2012. His work has been showcased on West End, Broadway, and various international stages.
