Todd Lawson Biography
Todd Lawson is an Emeritus Professor of Islamic thought at the University of Toronto. He specializes in Islamic Thought, specifically Shi'i Quran commentary and philosophical theology. With a BA in English Literature from the University of British Columbia and an MA and PhD in Islamic Studies from McGill University, he has extensive knowledge and expertise in his field. Todd Lawson is the author of several books, including 'Being Human: Bahá’í Perspectives on Islam, Modernity, and Peace' and 'Tafsir as Mystical Experience: Intimacy and Ecstasy in Quran Commentary'. With a focus on metaphor in religious language, he continues to contribute to the understanding of Islamic thought and Quranic interpretation.
