Tom Ashton is a musician, producer, and film composer. He gained recognition as an original founder member and guitarist of the early 1980s British gothic rock/post-punk band The March Violets. Hailing from Leeds, England, the band released numerous tracks that have become classics in their genre. Tom also collaborated with bands like The Sisters of Mercy, The Danse Society, and Clan of Xymox, both in live performances and recordings. In addition to his work with The Violets, he co-wrote and recorded the debut album of The Batfish Boys, titled 'The Gods Hate Kansas.' Tom's music was featured in films like John Hughes' 'Some Kind of Wonderful' and Zelda Barron's 'The Bulldance.' He has continued to contribute to the music scene through various projects and collaborations throughout the years.
