Tom Ashton is a musician, producer, and film composer. He gained recognition as an original founder member and guitarist of the early 1980s British gothic rock/post-punk band The March Violets. Hailing from Leeds, England, the band released numerous tracks that have become classics in their genre. Tom also collaborated with bands like The Sisters of Mercy, The Danse Society, and Clan of Xymox, both in live performances and recordings. In addition to his work with The Violets, he co-wrote and recorded the debut album of The Batfish Boys, titled 'The Gods Hate Kansas.'
