Tom Foran
Thomas Aquinas Foran (January 11, 1924 – August 6, 2000) was a United States Attorney and chief prosecutor in the Chicago Seven conspiracy trial. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Foran attended Quigley Preparatory Seminary, St. Ignatius High School, and served as a torpedo bomber pilot in World War II. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor's degree in philosophy and received his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. Foran gained prominence for prosecuting several police officers caught on film beating protestors with clubs during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. He was widely recognized for his role in the Chicago Seven trial, in which the defendants were charged with inciting riots. Foran passed away on August 6, 2000.
