    Tom Ruegger is an American animator and songwriter known for his work in the animation industry. He is associated with Disney Television Animation and Warner Bros. Animation. Ruegger is the creator of popular animated shows such as Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and Histeria!. Born and raised in Metuchen, New Jersey, Ruegger developed a passion for drawing and cartoons during his childhood. He graduated from Metuchen High School in 1972 before attending Dartmouth College. Ruegger made his first cartoon, The Premiere of Platypus Duck, in 1976 while still a student. He then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in animation, starting at Filmation and later joining Hanna-Barbera. Throughout his career, Ruegger has written and produced various animated series, including The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries, Snorks, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo, Pound Puppies, A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
