Tom Vilsack
Thomas James Vilsack is an American politician and lawyer who currently serves as the 32nd United States Secretary of Agriculture in the Biden administration. Born on December 13, 1950, Vilsack is a member of the Democratic Party. He previously held the same position from 2009 to 2017 during the Obama administration. Prior to his role as Secretary of Agriculture, Vilsack served as the 40th Governor of Iowa from 1999 to 2007. He briefly ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2008 election. Vilsack's nomination as Secretary of Agriculture was confirmed by unanimous consent of the United States Senate on January 20, 2009. He is known for being the fourth-longest-serving holder of the office.
