Tommy Vietor Biography
Thomas Frederick Vietor IV (born August 31, 1980) is an American political commentator and podcaster. He gained recognition as a spokesperson for President Barack Obama and the United States National Security Council from 2011 to 2012. Vietor co-founded Crooked Media alongside former Obama staffers Jon Favreau and Jon Lovett. He currently co-hosts the popular podcasts Pod Save America and Pod Save the World. Raised in Dedham, Massachusetts, Vietor attended Milton Academy before graduating from Kenyon College in 2002 with a BA in philosophy. Prior to his work with Obama, Vietor turned down an offer from the John Kerry presidential campaign. He started his journey with Obama by driving the candidate's press van during his first statewide run in Illinois, working closely with Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs.
