Travis Parker Biography
Travis Parker is a 47-year-old professional snowboarder originally from Jonestown, Texas. He has had sponsorships from Capita Super, K2 Snowboards, DC Boots, Airblaster, Union Bindings, Level, Lifetime, and Bluebird. Parker started riding for Capita in 2005 after leaving his longtime sponsor, K2. He briefly left the snowboarding world in 2009, reportedly to pursue a career as a sushi chef, but returned and signed with K2 again for the 2011 season. Known for his original riding style, Parker is remembered for vowing to ride switch for the entire 2009 season. He had pro-model boards with K2 and also helped Capita develop the Unorthodox (later known as the Shapeshifter) board. Parker appeared in several Totally Board films and was a prominent figure in Robot Food.
