Tristan Thompson

Tristan Trevor James Thompson, born on March 13, 1991, is a Canadian-American professional basketball player. He currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA. Thompson achieved fame by winning the 2016 NBA Finals with the Cavaliers. Throughout his career, he has also played for teams like the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers. Before entering the NBA, Thompson played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns. He was selected as the fourth overall pick by the Cavaliers in the 2011 NBA draft. Additionally, Thompson has represented the Canadian national team. Born in Brampton, he attended St. Marguerite d'Youville Secondary School in Brampton before transferring to Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey.
