Usama Ishtay

Usama Ishtay is a Syrian-Venezuelan fashion designer based in Los Angeles, US. He has gained recognition for his work with notable actresses such as Tyra Banks, Carrie Underwood, Lauren London, and Chiquis Rivera. Born on June 18, 1988, in Guárico, Venezuela, to a Syrian immigrant family, Ishtay was raised in Zulia. He holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering and a master's in geology. After facing challenges with his boutiques in Venezuela due to the country's political and economic crisis, Ishtay relocated to Los Angeles. He has studied pattern making and sewing privately and gained experience by driving for Uber. In 2016, he interned at Los Angeles Fashion Week and designed a dress for Eve at the Autism Speaks event, later donating it to charity.
