Vanessa Jackson

Vanessa Jackson (born June 6, 1953) is a British painter known for her wall installation paintings. She studied at Saint Martin's School of Art, earning a B.A. with first-class honors in 1975, and later received an MA from the Royal College of Art in 1978. Jackson has had an extensive career in teaching fine art, serving as Head of Painting at Winchester School of Art from 1988 to 1997, as well as a faculty member and research tutor at the Royal College of Art. She was also a senior tutor at the Royal Academy Schools from 1998 to 2013. Jackson's work has been recognized internationally, and she was elected as a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in 2015.
