Virginia Brissac (June 11, 1883 – July 26, 1979) was an American stage actress known for her natural style and charm. She headlined theatre companies from Vancouver to San Diego during the early 1900s. Brissac had a successful career as an ingénue and leading lady, excelling in both comedies and dramas. Later, she transitioned into a character actress in film and television. Brissac played a variety of roles, including mothers, grandmothers, and confidants to stars like Bette Davis, Tyrone Power, and John Wayne. She portrayed farm women, aristocrats, nurses, seamstresses, and more. Brissac is particularly remembered for her role as Jim Stark's grandmother in the film Rebel Without a Cause.
