Walt Flanagan, born on October 23, 1967, is a former comic book store manager and comic book artist from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Flanagan is best known for his long-time friendship with Kevin Smith and for managing Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in Red Bank, New Jersey. He played a significant role in turning Smith onto comic books. Flanagan is also a podcaster and co-hosts the Tell 'Em Steve-Dave! podcast with Bryan Johnson and Brian Quinn. He gained further recognition as the lead star in AMC's Comic Book Men, which premiered in February 2012. Flanagan's influence can be seen in Kevin Smith's films, where he inspired characters such as Brodie in Mallrats and Olaf in Clerks.
