Wasim Khan

Wasim Gulzar Khan is a former British cricketer who made history as the first British player with Pakistani origin to play professional cricket in England. Born on February 26, 1971, in Birmingham, Khan displayed his talent for cricket at a young age and was selected for the Warwickshire Under 13s team in 1983. He went on to play first-class cricket for the record-breaking double-winning Warwickshire team in 1995, where he had an impressive average of 49. Khan also represented England in the Under 19s and gained a NatWest winners medal. With his contributions to English cricket, Khan is regarded as one of the most important figures in the sport.
