Wilbur H. Jennings (born June 27, 1944) is an American lyricist known for his work in the music industry. Born in Kilgore, Texas, Jennings attended school near Tyler, Texas and graduated from Tyler Junior College. He later earned his B.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University and taught at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Jennings is most recognized for writing the lyrics to popular songs such as 'Tears in Heaven' and 'My Heart Will Go On.' His talent has garnered him numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Academy Awards. Jennings has collaborated with various artists, including Steve Winwood, Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, and Mariah Carey.
