Will Potter

Will Potter is an American investigative journalist and public speaker. He was born circa 1980 and has written for various publications including the Chicago Tribune, The Dallas Morning News, and Legal Affairs. Potter is known for his focus on how the 'war on terrorism' impacts civil liberties and has become a leading critic of the US government's Green Scare tactics. He runs the website GreenIsTheNewRed.com, where he shares articles and information on this topic. Potter has spoken at universities, participated in conferences, and given lectures. In 2006, he addressed the U.S. Congress about his reporting, and his article on the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act was recognized as one of the top 25 overlooked news stories of 2007 in the book Censored 2008. Potter is also a TED Fellow, having given a talk about communication management units.
