William Fairchild Biography
William Fairchild (1918–2000) was an English author, playwright, director, and screenwriter. He was known for his work in the film industry, having written scripts for movies such as 'A Song for Tomorrow' (1948), 'Morning Departure' (1950), and 'Malta Story' (1953). Fairchild also directed and wrote the original play for the film 'John and Julie' (1955). He was married to actress Isabel Dean from 1953 to the early 1970s, and later to producer, agent, and writer Robin Dalton from 1992 until his death. Fairchild made valuable contributions to the entertainment industry through his writing and directing talents.
