Yoshihiro Akiyama
Yoshihiro Akiyama, also known as Choo Sung-hoon and Sexyama, is a Japanese mixed martial artist and judoka of Korean descent. He is a fourth-generation Japanese of Korean descent and acquired Japanese nationality in 2001. Akiyama is a former K-1 HERO's Light Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament Champion. Before his professional mixed martial arts career, he was a decorated Judoka, starting training at the age of three. Akiyama has also trained in Karate, Boxing, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, and Submission Wrestling with Greg Jackson. He won the gold medal at the 2001 Asian Judo Championships representing South Korea and the gold medal at the 2002 Asian Games representing Japan by defeating Ahn Dong-Jin of South Korea in the finals.
