Yuhua Hamasaki Biography
Yuhua Hamasaki, born Yuhua Ou on March 1, 1990, is a Chinese-born American drag queen, singer, actor, and reality television personality. She gained international recognition as a contestant on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Yuhua moved to Chinatown, Manhattan in New York City at the age of seven and began her drag career in the club kid scene using the name Yuhua. She later adopted the surname Hamasaki after the Japanese idol Ayumi Hamasaki. Yuhua holds a business management degree from Pace University. Prior to her Drag Race appearance, she appeared in Katy Perry's performance of 'Swish Swish' on Saturday Night Live and designed outfits for several Drag Race alumni. Yuhua has also won multiple pageant titles, including Miss Fire Island, Miss Fire Island All Stars, Miss Stonewall, and Miss Asia NYC.
