Zamir Gotta Biography
Zamir Gotta, born Iazamir Gotta, is a Russian producer and broadcaster. He gained recognition as the travelling companion of American chef Anthony Bourdain in the TV show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. Gotta and Bourdain explored various countries including Uzbekistan, Russia, Romania, and the U.S. Rust Belt. They also collaborated on Bourdain's subsequent series, Parts Unknown, for episodes in Russia and Batumi. Gotta's journey with Bourdain began in a two-part episode of A Cook's Tour in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Prior to his television career, Gotta studied English at Moscow State Pedagogical University and worked as an instructor for military interpreters. He is of Turkic (Tatar) and Jewish heritage from Crimea and started his career as a freelance film producer.
