Zoe Smith is an English weightlifter who was born on 26 April 1994. She made her mark in weightlifting by winning a bronze medal in the women's 58kg division at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, becoming the first English woman to achieve this feat. Smith went on to represent her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, finishing 12th in the Women's 58kg division. Despite missing out on the 2016 Summer Olympics due to an injury, she made a strong comeback and secured an eighth-place finish in the 59kg category at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Smith attended De Lucy primary school and later Townley Grammar School for Girls. She initially trained as a gymnast before transitioning into weightlifting to support Greenwich in the London Youth Games. With her talent and dedication, Smith has become a respected figure in the world of weightlifting.
