Honeyjoon follows Persian-Kurdish mother Lela and her American daughter June as they travel to the Azores after a recent loss. Amid honeymooners, the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and a philosophical tour guide, João, the pair confront contrasting approaches to grief, culture and identity while gradually reconnecting over the island visit.
