Movies Like In the Hand of Dante

After a handwritten manuscript of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy surfaces, it passes from a Vatican priest to a New York mob boss and then to author Nick Tosches, who is enlisted to authenticate the text. The film interweaves Tosches’s contemporary investigation with dramatized sequences of Dante’s life, writings and texts.
