Klara and the Sun follows Klara, an Artificial Friend purchased to accompany Josie, a gifted teenager with a mysterious illness. Programmed for companionship, Klara observes human bonds, forms a close relationship with Josie, and seeks ways to help. The film adapts Kazuo Ishiguro's novel and is directed by Taika Waititi.
