Set in 1985 Ireland, Small Things Like These follows coal merchant Bill Furlong, who, while making deliveries to a convent, discovers a teenage girl being confined. His discovery prompts confrontations with his own past and exposes the town’s complicity with the Catholic-run institutions surrounding the Magdalene laundries and personal reckoning.
