This Is It compiles rehearsal footage, interviews and backstage material documenting Michael Jackson's preparations for his planned London concert residency. The film presents rehearsals, choreography sessions, dancer auditions, costume fittings and production planning captured in California under director Kenny Ortega, assembled and released after Jackson's death by concert promoters posthumously.
