Movies like Whiteout

Not to be confused with the animated Disney film, 'Frozen' (2010) is a survival horror about three skiers trapped on a chairlift. As with 'Whiteout', the characters in 'Frozen' face life-threatening cold and must make desperate choices to survive.

This classic John Carpenter horror film also features an Antarctic setting, where researchers confront a shape-shifting alien. Fans of 'Whiteout' will appreciate 'The Thing' for its intense, claustrophobic atmosphere and its blend of horror and mystery in a desolate, icy environment.
