Allah Rakha Rahman, born A. S. Dileep Kumar on 6 January 1967, is an Indian music composer, record producer, singer, songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. He is renowned for his contributions to Indian cinema, primarily in Tamil and Hindi films, as well as in international cinema. Rahman has won numerous awards, including six National Film Awards, two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and a Golden Globe Award. He has also received fifteen Filmfare Awards and seventeen Filmfare Awards South. In 2010, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award. Rahman's film-scoring career began in the early 1990s with the Tamil film Roja, and he has since worked on several notable projects both in India and abroad.
