Alan Whitney Brown (born July 8, 1952) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. Best known for his time as a writer and cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1985 to 1991, Brown was also an original correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show from 1996 to 1998. Throughout his career, he has been nominated for an Emmy award four times, winning once. Brown's early days were marked by legal troubles, including arrests for stealing cars and spending time in jail. However, he turned his life around and began as a street juggler before transitioning to stand-up comedy. His television appearances include The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Night with David Letterman.
